Sensei Nelson Lopez, a highly accomplished Kung-Fu champion from Hudson County, confounds the school. Lopez holds numerous state championship titles, awards, and belts and has been teaching martial arts for over 25 years.

Cofounder Joseph Valentino also holds several martial arts belts in a variety of Karate styles. Both have taught martial arts extensively over the past decade. “Shin Budo Karate Do is important to the community because it helps residents to learn the art of self-defense,” explains Valentino. “Karate can help people build strength, speed, and self-confidence.”
